Holler for the card reader!

Greetings from Oklahoma!

My time here is going well, and I had the pleasure of visiting one of my besties! Caitlin and her fabulous hubby and darling dogs live up around Tulsa, which is about 2 1/2 hours Northwest of where I am. Tonight, we meet in the middle in Stillwater -- home of the OSU Cowboys... whoo hoo (not!).

We meet for dinner at Mexico Joes, must say it was pretty good. It was so nice to catch up with Caitlin - I so totally miss her! We were quite the partners in crime and the best prank callers in West O (Yes I am bragging about that!). While we may now be 26.. we still laugh about the good times when we were 17 & 18. Fun Fun times.

Caitlin got a souvenier cup. (I think she really just wanted to get it so she could remember her dinner with me)... Ha... EVERYONE who ordered pop got it! I told her to pose with the cup and the sign.. She thought I was joking till I told her to hold it up and then say "darn its not good lighting"... speaking of which please pardon the poor picture quality in this post!! This is not my photog blog! :)

Of course we had to get the oblitory self shot too!

Now.. late.. but better late than never progress pictures! Again pardon the horrible quality!

I am really seeing a difference in my torso!

Spring is around the corner!

It's so nice to begin to see the grass. Even though it my be super soggy.. I see it and its making me happy. I am really looking forward to getting outside and taking down the Christmas lights (Yes you did read that correct, they are still up. Ugh. Maybe we will try today. Most of the snow around the house has melted some. It's such a PITA to get them down, but its worth it to see Clark Griswold(ahem I mean Jon) happy. It will be nice to clean up the yard, get the gravel out of the garage and just enjoy spring and being outdoors. :)

In the mean time, I will keep finishing up the projects inside, which I am seeming to invent them as they come up weekly to keep occupied! :) Last night Jon and I did a little retail therapy. We went to Von Maur, and he got a new dress shirt (Holla on sale from $89 to $60!) Its very classy, he looks so good in dress shirts. I picked up some blush and primer from Chanel. I really like Chanel's products. This stuff is amazing. I was previously a smashbox fan.. but IMO it tears it apart. It is a few bucks more, but my last bottle seemed to go way faster than previously.

I also recently bought a Clarisonic. I am so excited for it to arrive! I got pink (of course!) and I picked up a brush set for Jon, he's excited to use it as well!!

Here is a weekly update photo!

Catching up!

I finally unloaded pictures off my camera! So, enjoy!

As mentioned in this blog post I recently made the Duggar's laundry detergent. I absolutely LOVE it. I highly suggest using it. My clothes are so soft. I did our bedding today, and from just making the bed, it felt fabulous. We have satin sheets as well... and the feel amazing... scratch fabulous! :) Here are some pictures from the making. I used a "Homer" bucket (5 gallon paint bucket) from The Home Depot.

Main ingredients -- in Omaha, you can find both at Hy-Vee!

I used the magic bullet to "grate" the Fels Naptha soap...

"Cooking the soap!"

Stir!!!

Now. Obviously making laundry detergent got us in the "domestic" mood because we painted our bedroom. Something we've been talking about since last summer.. but we were a little painted out after painting the ENTIRE basement (1500sq ft) after we finished it... ps that was 4-5 coats (new drywall including primer...)

Before...

After!

Now... I just got my hair done yesterday. I went darker, my hair always fades. But I like it... even though Jon said "so, you'll need to start tanning again" which I already realized a few weeks ago.. umm hello albino.

Before!

Lastly --- 2 weeks of photo updates!!

Now, I hope you are in photo heaven! I am in heaven because the housekeeper is here, and now I am off to run out to Rockbrook and look at new cameras and do some retail therapy with my hubby! <3

Photo Monday! Recipe Review!

As promised! Here are my weekly updates.

Now. Monday's recipe! Jon really liked it, it was a great dinner, and quick and easy to make. I calculated my recipe at about 113 cal, plus 15 for the salad! Not bad.

Today was a good day for me. I got up at 5:55 for an early morning work out. I had a great workout, and I was dripping in sweat. TO me this equivels a GOOD workout. I always have a fear of eating out (especially in OMAHA!) and I have a coworker in from corporate, and well my lunch from home isnt happening.

So, today we went to Taqueria El Ray and it was pretty good. I had a steak burrito. I had about 2/3 of it, and I felt full. The serving was good size, and the burrito was just $4.25. Holler for the dirrrrrty south... umm otherwise known as South O! This establishment is in the old DQ on 24th & Q.

Tomorrow is Tempature Tuesday, so its Runza baby. I heart their nutritional info. :) I am going to enjoy a Runza at just 500 calories (yes I know that is really a lot) but I love me some runnnnnnzas! I plan to have about 1/2 of my fries which will be about 205 more.

Wednesday ?

Thursday ?

Friday ?

So.. thats that, happy Monday!

Weekly Photo

Weekends are rough for me. Especially the busy ones. Ugh.

I love weekdays because I can make my lunch, and come home and make dinner. :) While I love the weekends -- weekdays are my healthy friend!

So -- part of my plan on this is to take a weekly photo, to view my progress. Let me say, when I loaded this up-- my UN POSED, UN SUCKED In, UN EDITED (yah this includes color correction and red eye! -- hey thats tough for a photog!) photo I was disgusted. So dont laugh :)

Well I am off... early morning work out awaits!
