MIA!

So, life has been... umm busy.

I've been keeping busy with work (still waiting on round II of interviews for a promotion - fingers crossed!!)

I leave for a two week assignment in Plano, TX on Monday. I am looking forward to it, as its a good church in a very nice area (Jerry Jones' hood!)

Photography, a few sessions this week, maternity!! Babies soon to follow!

I had the pleasure of having lunch with a great great gal pal. She is going thru some uber exciting changes, and I am so genuinely happy for her! You know who you are! Eeeek!

Today has been a lazy day, I cleaned, weve been working on getting the business taxes in order, were meeting with Amanda (our accountant tomorrow). We have YET to start our personal taxes, but those should be pretty easy peasy.

Oh and backtracking.. the hubster is bored with his car. Which might I add, we bought (yes bought FML) last March. It's a 2010 VW Passat. It's just too daddy'ish for him. So, beings that he works at a car dealer he sees all these fun cool cars (so I totally get it). Anyways, he wants a Mercedes C 300 Sport. I cant say I dont, because afterall, that was my first car I bought on my own. :) STUNNNA baby.

So, Thursday eve we went and test drove the car, they appraised our car, and were $3700 in the hole. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT! Keep in mind, we have 0% financing. Ugh. So, the lease special would be around $420 a month, went to $517. Ugh. Damn car. I am annoyed because I will "eat" some of the loss, but darnit Jon is kinda a big deal, cant they take a little loss... I mean do they want to piss off the IT guy, who can shut their internet/email and so on off in a heartbeat ;) HAHA. I know Jon is a little annoyed too, especially since the response time today from the VW store was well.. yeah nothing. Anyways... so I told Jon if its meant to be, it will be but I feel bad because I know he wants a new car thats "cool".

So... thats the update of my exciting... err boring life!

I will update next from DALLAS~ Any suggestions for things to see/do while I am in the Dallas (PLANO) area?

Workouts, and prayer.

Wow, that's a total random title eeh?

First workouts, Jon and I did day 2 of EA Active 2 tonight, and I really like it. It is a game for the Wii. Admittedly I was skeptical, but it is fun, and I do feel the burn. Its like a trainer right there, as the bands that are worn will tell you if your form is incorrect. I suggest checking it out, if you need a little push, and like variety..

Now, prayer... for those outside of Omaha, sadly there was a shooting at a local high school. I just heard on the news the Asst Principal passed away. I refuse to discuss the person at guilt in this, however I offer up prayers for the individual who passed. It made me think, just how quickly life can change. I thought about how I live, I am always so busy, so rushed and typically stressed. A friend of ours Cameron, posted on his blog, that he is no longer living for next month I'm living for the next five days. I really liked this comment, because its true. We should be living each day, as though it were our last. I encourage you all to live and love freely. Take down the walls which hold you back, and grow yourself, and step outside of the box.

Speaking of stepping outside of the box. I am pondering applying for a pretty significant promotion at work. It would be a Sales Manager position, which is where I ultimately want to be, and I love my employer.. however its in Hartford, CT. We LOVE our life here, it is great, we are both in jobs we love, love our home and its where we grew up.. but this is my career goal... so I am pondering if my career is worth losing out and missing things geographically. If it were just me, I would do it in a heartbeat, but clearly its not, Jon has a job he loves, and we have 15 weddings next year (that could get spendy) flying home!! Oy, so whats a Catholic girl going to do? Pray about it.

Working Wagon

Tore up, from the floor up. :) Thats me the past few days. I have not left the house since Friday night (NYE) ((other than a quick trip to Wal-Mart) yesterday. While its been a welcome hibernation, I am ready to get back on the working wagon.

I have been working from home since December 17th! I love my job, dont get me wrong but I do miss the "office environment" at times. Now, for those who dont know I sell advertising on church bulletins, and I am somewhere different every week. Of course today, the church I am at this week was still closed for the holiday -- so working from home it was. :)

I will however miss my office assistants from home (Lola and Lucy!) they are great feet warmers. I will also miss being able to sleep in later since I dont always need to leave and meet with clients, or commute. :) However it will be nice to get back in to the working world and put on my heels :)

Hope you are all off to a good start of 2011.

Greetings from...

I am in sunny "hot" Texas. All the locals keep going on about how HOT and HUMID it is, but honestly... it's not bad.

This week I am in Waco. Its definitely a "relax after work week". I am staying right around Baylor. Its not that exciting of a city. They do however have the Dr. Pepper museum ( I like DP ) but... it closes at like 4:15... so that will have to wait ;) My hotel is sub-par. I was excited to get some swimming in, but the pools out of service. I hit up the gym, and let me tell ya -- 1982 called and they would like their equipment back. :/

This weekend, I will be in San Antonio, staying at the Riverwalk. I am looking forward to enjoying the area and checking it all out! Any must see's while I am there??

Then, Sunday I will head up to Seguin TX and will be staying at the Mosheim Mansion it has fab reviews and seems like a nice "home away from home".

Funky Funk.

I've been in a funk lately.

Bored (Ha like I dont have enough to do), annoyed, and stressed.

I think that it has a lot to do with my work schedule, and eating. I have been on vacation/working from home since June 25th (and that week before was a HELL week at work). When I am not on a normal schedule I am finding myself snacking.

I am super annoyed because Jon was supposed to come to San Antonio with me for the weekend, but his co-worker resigned so he has to pick up the slack. So... no vacation for him. *For the record I am not mad at Jon, just the situation!* I will be in Texas the 11-22nd for work. The first week I am in Waco, through Thursday - then I will be in San Antonio Thursday night-Sunday followed by Seguin Mon-Thursday. San Antonio has been on my vacation spot list for awhile. So I am looking forward to it.

Photography has been crazy busy, tonight I have a senior portrait session, I hope the rain holds out. We are up to 18 weddings for 2010, and I have had to turn down a few 2011 brides due to being booked on dates already. It seems like our life consists of: work, home, edit, email/pr stuff, sleep. That said, we are so blessed our business has taken off so quickly (and well!).

Lola and Lucy are cute as ever, they are currently napping and will be in for a HUGE surprise when I leave for 11 days, after being home for so long.

Weight loss, I am down 46lb (I lost 2 last week), again Ive kinda been in a funk - but nothing I cant overcome.

I'm back... again!

Sorry for the lack of posts! :)

Its been a busy whirlwind few weeks. Works been busy, (per usual).

Vacation to San Francisco, was heavenly. I will be posting a review with pictures soon.

Photography is great, I am booked until September. :) 11 more weddings this year, so far. Of course we have several family sessions, and seniors this summer so it's going to be verrrry busy. :) I cant complain.

Work -- I have an interview for a promotion in the morning. I am looking forward to the opportounity. It would be in our marketing department, and I would be responsible for aquiring new church clients in the southwest. I'd start traveling a lot, so it would be an exciting new opportounity. Speaking of travel, I am taking an assignment in San Antonio for two weeks in mid July! San Antonio was one of our other vacation spots to check out! I think Jon is going to come down and spend the weekend with me, so that will be a nice mid-summer vacation.

Weightloss, I am now at 40 pounds down!!! Since January 21st. I am proud of myself in the lifestyle change. Clothes are all quite loose. Its a great thing, but Imshort on "fitting" clothes and I dont want to go spend a fortune on new stuff, that will soon be loose too!

Well, I had better get things ready for the week and work on some wedding pics!

Stay tuned for a San Fancisco review.

Catching up!

Wheeeew! Friday is upon the horizon. :)

Jon started "new hours" this week. It makes things tough. He's working 9-7. God Bless him, hes a hard worker. It throws our "schedule" off though. By the time he gets home its 7:30, and were both hungry by this point, so we have dinner by 8, he relaxes and we get stuff done and it seems like its 9:45. The past few mornings getting up to work out has been hindered by two cute white furry (did I mention cuddly) dogs. :)

On a positive note, per the scale I am down, yay.

We leave for San Francisco in 4 weeks!! YAY I cant wait.

Work is great, I had a STELLAR week. Holler!

I am getting my wisdom teeth out on Saturday morning. My dentist can take them out, so hopefully were smooth sailing. : ) I have my green tea bags ready!!

Well I am going to get some stuff done, and get ready for a work out!

In a funk.

You read it. I am in a funk.

I need to get out of it. As I was pondering why, it *just* came to me. I NEED to get back to my to-do lists. Laugh you may... but seriously, I need to make my rental car reservation, and secure a hotel for my upcoming work trip to Norman, OK. I also need to do other work stuff, ugh.

On a good note, I got a new camera today. Number one, of two. For those who didnt know, I had a Sony A200. I sold it on Craigslist, (holla) and bought a Sony A700 I also officially closed my big deal at work... so Canon 7D here I come as well. EEEEEEEEEE!

Now, back to my funk. I have been getting 1600'ish calories a day. I have up to 1700, but I liked staying in the 1300 range. When I come home, I just havent felt like cooking dinner. Yet, I didnt bother to make a meal plan. I can consider this a learning experience. I NEED to PLAN. I also have been suuuuuuuper tired in the morning, actually I think its more of a combo of my out of control cute (and snuggly) dogs keeping me in bed. Damn them. But, come to the evening I just want to veg out. I Need to work out still, I am just in a funk, and I dont want to. But I will.

Oh and Im ending this with...
150 calories = 2 girl scout cookies. They are just as good in moderation. :)

OMG!

So... diet wise. OMG isnt so good. I actually gained .2# however.. I am looking and feeling thinner. I've done a lot of weight lifting lately - so I am hoping this is muscle :)

Now, for the good OMG. Work was fabulous this week. For those of you who arent quite sure what I do. I work for Liturgical Publications, and I sell advertising on church bulletins. My job is a sales job, so I am commissioned. Which can be an amazing thing if you are successful. Thank God I have been so blessed to be successful. I sold over $8k this week, now before you think I am a major balla -- I dont get all of that. :) I also am about to close two huge deals, one $6500 deal, and hopefully a large one to the tune of $23,000!

Now this makes me squeel because this means I get to buy my new camera and flash that I have been lusting over. The Canon 7D and Speedlite!

I am also going to be upgrading my backup camera. Since I have all the Sony equipment, I will be trading that in for a newer Sony. Super stoaked. Eeeee!

Yay!!
